Services

Our clinic is a small animal practice: dog, cats, and small animals.

Preventative Medicine

Routine exam are extremely important in pets because they are not able to voice illness or pain as well as we are. During an exam it is important to address any health concerns or to seek advice with behavioral issues. You will find that our doctor and staff are helpful and caring.

Vaccinations, parasite prevention, a healthy diet and dental cleanings are also important in keeping pets healthy. Puppies and kittens under go a series of vaccinations and physical exams. Frequent exams are very important in detecting physical problems in young pets as they grow.

Depending on what the doctor finds during a physical examination often we will recommend treatment medications or additional diagnostics test such as blood tests or radiographs.

Diagnostics & Treatments

Our goal is to provide treatments that are both efficient and effective as possible. Occasionally, it is necessary to prescribe treatment medications or recommend additional diagnostics tests, blood tests, radio graphs, or an ultrasound.

We have an on site lab where we perform routine blood work, urinalysis, cytology and fecal analysis. We also utilize an off site lab that performs more advanced diagnostic testing.

We have state-of-the art equipment, including digital X-ray and an ultrasound machine, which allows for these services to be performed on site with your pet's veterinarian.

We have a well stocked pharmacy to provide patients with effective treatment medications. For pets with special dietary needs, we
also carry many prescription diets such as hypoallergic or diabetic foods.

Dentistry

Untreated dental disease is the greatest cause of health problems in dogs and cats. It can lead to the development of liver and kidney problems and is a source of chronic low-grade infection.

Having regular exams helps your veterinarian determine if your pet needs dentistry care. Brushing your pet's teeth and feeding dental diets can help reduce the frequency of your pet's need for dental cleanings. We carry specially formulated pet tooth paste and dental diets here at the clinic.

Surgery

Dr. Sid Bruckert-Frisk and Dr. Scott Oeffner are skilled surgeons performing both routine and advanced surgeries Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

We have an experienced surgical team who works carefully along side our doctor.  Every patient is assigned a surgical assistant who will closely monitor your pet throughout their surgery and continues their vigilant care beside your pet until he/she is fully awake from the general anesthetic.

Recovery is equally important and our staff attend to recovering patients by keeping them under observation and providing a warm, safe and quiet place to recover.  For your pet's
comfort anti-inflammatory medications are administered with all of our surgeries.

We ask that our scheduled surgery patient arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. For your convenience, you may also drop your pet off for a complimentary over night stay the evening prior to your pet's scheduled surgery.
